Work Experience at Coleshill Leisure Centre
Our students recently enjoyed a fantastic work experience placement at Coleshill Leisure Centre, gaining a practical look at the sports and fitness industry.
Throughout the programme, they have experienced a variety of roles including:
- · Operations: Learning how to use the equipment and setting up the equipment for fitness classes
- · Customer service: Managing the reception desk and assisting with stock replenishment
- · Team Building: Developing their skills in a professional environment and enjoying a game of squash once their duties were complete.
We are proud of how our students handled their responsibilities with enthusiasm and professionalism. A huge thank you to the staff at Coleshill Leisure Centre for providing such an engaging experience.

Cadent Gas Work Experience Programme
We are proud to celebrate a successful work experience programme with Cadent Gas this year. Five of our KS4 and KS5 students visited the Coventry Headquarters for an immersive look into the world of work.
Across the programme, students gained invaluable insights by rotating through key departments, including IT, Finance, and the Call Centre. They also took part in practical engineering tasks, such as copper pipe assembly, and enjoyed team building activities in the staff kitchen (making their own pizzas).
The Cadent team praised our students for their polite, professional, and engaged approach throughout the programme. Our students found the experience highly rewarding and have all expressed a keen interest in returning.
We are incredibly grateful to Cadent Gas for providing such a well-rounded and inspiring opportunity for our students, and we look forward to growing this partnership in the future.

Southfields Farm Work Experience
We are delighted to continue our partnership with Southfields Farm, providing our Post-16 students with unique, hands-on learning experiences in an agricultural setting.
On a weekly basis, our students have been working closely with Farmer Richard, taking on the daily responsibilities required to run a working farm. Their hard work has included:
· Animal Care: Feeding the animals and ensuring their wellbeing.
· Farm Maintenance: Collecting eggs and cleaning out animal huts.
· General Duties: Assisting with a variety of essential daily farm tasks.
The students have engaged exceptionally well with the programme, demonstrating great responsibility and a strong work ethic. We are very proud of their progress and are incredibly grateful to Farmer Richard for his ongoing support in providing these real-world opportunities.
